Img_assist: Step by step

Add image link
Once installed, the 'add image' link appears when creating new content (nodes).

Clicking on the 'add image' link opens a new window with three panes: thumbnails, image preview, and image properties. Notice that you can filter the thumbnails by any image categories you have created in Drupal.

Preview of available images.

Clicking a thumbnail creates a larger preview and loads the image editing form with the defaults set for that image. By default, the original thumbnail is used when inserting the image. If you want to use the full-size image, simply uncheck the 'Use original thumbnail' box as seen below.

A thumbnail has been selected

Insert the image into your post by clicking the 'Insert image snippet' button. Depending on your web browser, the image will be inserted at the current position of the cursor. Safari, Omniweb, and Konqueror will append the image to the end of your text.

Clicking the 'Preview image' button will display what your inserted image will look like as well as show you the generated HTML code snippet. If you'd rather manually insert this code into your post you can copy the text from this window.
