Okay, for moshe (see comment below) here's a quick snippet. Basically, create a new menu using the menu module and then create a new taxonomy vocabulary that defines the layout for your site. Next give aliases for all your taxonomy URLs and map those aliases with the taxonomy terms in your newly created menu.
